Let's dive into the ancient biblical world of Old Testament kings! We will ask the questions when did they rule, whose idea was it that they rule (God or man?), what was accomplished or destroyed (sometimes both) during their reign, and what can we learn from their time in power? It's easy to gloss over parts of the Old Testament because we don't understand the significance of many of the people and their stories. Rest assured, they all have reasons for being named and we should learn from their examples. As we construct a better understanding of ancient times I hope to encourage every student to never be afraid to ask good questions, pray about what God has for us to learn, and never stop learning!
